On May, 11, 2022, the State Archival Service of Ukraine presented Interarchival search portal, which provides a single access to all the digitized archival resources in one window 24/7.
“We did not abandon our plans, and today we are ready to present a pilot version of an important resource, which could make the lives of archivists and users easier. The digital resources of the three Central State Archives are presented on a single platform with access through a single window, in total it is almost 1,5 millions of scan-copies of full-text archival documents. The archives are: Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine, Central State Archives of Public Organizations of Ukraine, Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine.” — said the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov.
The rate of digitization of documents by Ukrainian state archives has increased by almost 500% in recent years, as well as a volume of digitized documents, which are now being gathered together on a unified platform.
Today, because of the war, it is not possible to add other archival institutions to the Interarchival search portal, although in the future the State Archival Service of Ukraine is planning to add all of the central and regional archives to the portal.
Currently, such a possibility is already being considered by the State Archives of the Kyiv region.
