The State Archival Service of Ukraine together with American partners are providing an access to the 10 million digitized copies of the documents regarding the history of Holocaust
    Рosted 30 June 2022 13:19

From June 29, 2022, documents about the Holocaust stored in the state archives of Ukraine will become available online for the first time. These are 10 million pages of records about the tragedy of the Jewish people copied by the USA Holocaust Memorial Museum as part of the cooperation under the Agreement with the State Archival Service of Ukraine for almost 25 years.

“After four months of war in Ukraine and the possibility of even more targeted destruction of Ukrainian cultural objects, including museums and archives, it is historically necessary to make these materials available digitally” — said Rebecca Beling, director of the Rubenstein National Institute for Holocaust Documentation.

“This joint project once again disproved one of the main myths of russian aggressive anti-Ukrainian propaganda about the “anti-Semitic” and “Nazi” nature of the Ukrainian people. Our archives and civil society are open to genuine scientific discussions and free access to documentary evidence, including those related to the tragic events of the Holocaust. We have a country without archival censorship and a taboo on historical research” — stressed Anatolii Khromov, the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine.
