    News of digitization of documents by state archives: a digest for October 2022

    Despite the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian archivists continue to work and digitize documents of the National Archival Fond for their preservation and accessibility for users of archival information.

    • During October 2022, the Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine posted on its official website 1432 volumes of inventories of 854 archival fonds. Today 5870 volumes of fonds’ inventories are available for studying. 

    Work continues under the Agreement of the Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine with FamilySearch International: 106,795 scanned copies of archival documents were created during the month: https://e-resource.tsdavo.gov.ua/fonds/

    • The Central State Archives of Public Organizations of Ukraine in October 2022 uploaded to the “E-resource” 20 volumes (2506 pages) of archival criminal files of the Fond 263 “Collection of extrajudicial cases of rehabilitated individuals (1918–1950)”, which contain information on 219 repressed individuals: https://cdago.org.ua/tags-type/4/
    • The Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Kyiv uploaded 214 inventories and 46 files to the sections “Reference apparatus” and “E-Directory” on its official website.

    • The Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv continues to upload new electronic copies of archival fonds’ inventories. The list is replenished with 50 inventories of the fonds: 136, 142, 216-218, 221, 222, 226, 227, 229-232, 234, 236, 239, 241, 242, 256, 257, 259, 267, 268, 270, 276, 278-281, 286, 391, 392, 394-405, 407, 410, 414, 416, 421, Р-20: https://tsdial.archives.gov.ua/index5.html 

    The Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine in Lviv also posted new digital copies of metrical books of the Roman Catholic faith (222 files): https://tsdial.archives.gov.ua/index16.html

    • From the beginning of October on the official website of the Central State CinePhotoPhono Archives of Ukraine named after H. Pshenychnyi to the section “E-catalogue” were added 998 accounts of phono documents records: https://avd-tsdkffa.archives.gov.ua/ 
    • The Central State Scientific and Technical Archives of Ukraine digitized and placed on its own web resources 1191 documents and 1460 cards of the systematic catalog (Complex 3-13 (1) reports on research works of the research and production association “Avtomatgirmash”): https://elfa.archives.gov.ua/uk/da/scat, https://elfa.archives.gov.ua 
    • The Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine uploaded the personal fond of the architect and teacher Pavlo Hollandsky (1861–1939). The fond contains materials of the scientist (among them drawings of the plan of the territory of the Taras Shevchenko grave reserve), drawings of architectural monuments, photocopies of sketches of several Crimean cities, manuscripts, biographical documents, correspondence, individual and group photos, photos of architectural monuments of Crimea: https://ksi-csamm.archives.gov.ua/fonds/516/

    • State Archives of Volyn Region in section “Electronic archive” posted 54 more archival criminal files of non-judicial bodies for 1939-1993: https://cutt.ly/EGgFlrw

    • State Archives of Chernivtsi Region added to its official website inventories of the pre-Soviet period, including photo documents. The inventories of fond 1245 “Books of acts of civil status (metrical books) of the present-day Chernivtsi region” have been updated with current data.
