On February 14, 2023, the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, Anatolii Khromov, took part in an online meeting steered ably by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Rostyslav Karandeev, on the implementation of the project to create the National Electronic Library of Ukraine.

As a member of the working group, the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine shared the experience of creating a single online platform of digitized documents of the National Archival Fond of Ukraine with 24/7 access – the Interarchival Search Portal. Anatolii Khromov noted that the goal of the project is to involve seven central and 25 (27) state regional archives of Ukraine within 5-7 years. If last year the resource, on which 2.5 million scan copies of archival documents from three central and one state regional archives were posted at the end of December, was visited by more than 180 thousand users, then in 2023 it is planned to increase the number of scan copies published on the resource to 5 million by adding to the project three more central and two state regional archives.

He noted the importance of joining the efforts of the State Archival Service of Ukraine and the Ministry for the creation of the National Electronic Library of Ukraine, shared the experience of archivists in attracting funds from Ukrainian and foreign partners for the creation of the Interarchival Search Portal, and confirmed the readiness to provide all kinds of assistance within the framework of the working group mission.
