    Рosted 22 February 2023 18:26

With the assistance of the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, Anatolii Khromov, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Institute for the Culture and History of Germans in Northeast Europe at the University of Hamburg and the Directorate for operation of the buildings` complex of the central state archival institutions of Ukraine.

German partners allocate more than UAH 2 million in charitable donations for the repair of separate and additional archival storage facilities on the territory of the complex of buildings of the central state archival institutions of Ukraine, located in Kyiv, with a total area of 604.83 square meters.

The archival repositories will be used to ensure the preservation of documents of the National Archival Fond of Ukraine, including the archival documents evacuated from the places of active hostilities.

We would like to express our gratitude to the management of the Institute for the Culture and History of Germans in Northeast Europe at the University of Hamburg for their support and charitable assistance in protecting the Ukrainian documentary heritage from being lost.

Today, more than ever, it is important to consolidate the efforts of international partners in order to overcome the severe consequences of a full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, defeat the aggressor, and establish peace.
