As a result of the cooperation of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, the State Archives of Odesa Region and the FamilySearch International (USA), the implementation of a large-scale program for the digitization of documents of the Odesa Region became possible. Within the framework of this program, it is planned to digitize 42 fonds containing 59 thousand 307 cases, and this is previously 3 million 284 thousand 150 scanned copies of archival documents of a genealogical nature.

On April 19, 2023, the State Archives of Odesa Region received equipment from FamilySearch International (USA) – two scanners for digitizing documents of the National Archival Fond, which are stored in the State Archives of Odesa Region.

Reference: On June 2, 2022 the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Archival Service of Ukraine and FamilySearch International Corporation (USA). The main objective of it is to digitize National Archival Fond’s documents of genealogical nature and the creation of a fond for the use of such documents.

On February 8, 2022, an agreement was signed between the State Archives of Odesa Region and FamilySearch International (USA).
