  • Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine and the FamilySearch International (USA) have started documents digitization

    As a result of the cooperation of the State Archival Service of Ukraine, the Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine, and the FamilySearch International Corporation, the implementation of the first stage of the large-scale digitization of documents from the archive fonds became possible from October 2, 2023.

    It is planned to create more than 100,000 digital copies of genealogical documents of Ukrainian artists, in particular, musicologist, and composer Leonid Kaufman, composer and choral conductor Kyrylo Stetsenko, Trebinsky family, literary critic Mykhailo Novitsky, and others from more than 500 personal fonds.

    Reference: On June 2, 2022 the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Archival Service of Ukraine and FamilySearch International Corporation (USA). The main objective of it is to digitize National Archival Fond’s documents of a genealogical nature and the creation of a fond for the use of such documents.

    On December 20, 2022, an agreement was signed between the Central State Archives Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine and FamilySearch International (USA).
