    Public discussion of the draft Law of Ukraine «On the National Archival information resources, documentation and archive management »

         18 May 2021 at 10:00 via videoconference on the platform ZOOM held a joint meeting of the public and scientific-expert council under the State Archival Service of Ukraine.

        The joint meeting was attended by members of the Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov, First Deputy Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Tatiana Yemelianova, Deputy Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Larysa Levchenko and responsible employees of the State Archival Service of Ukraine.

        Anatolii Khromov presented the draft Law of Ukraine «On the National
    archival information resources, documentation and archive management ».

       During the presentation he paid attention to the components of the National Archival information resources. Noted, that the drafting of a new archival law was carried out in the context of the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the law of  the European Union and the requirements of international legal norms and standards.
    Provided explanations and comments on the structure of the new archival law and drew attention to the new or new sense of the terms. Other than stressed that the new draft law is focused on satisfaction information needs of society, protection of rights and freedoms of citizens, and also aimed at creating unified state management system National archival information resources, documentation and archives.

        Deputy Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Larysa Levchenko provided comments to the presentation, noting that the developers seek suggestions and comments from participants on specific provisions of the draft Law.

        The members of the public and scientific-expert council had the opportunity to express their thoughts, suggestions and comments, those who were unable to participate in the for objective reasons, sent in writing their comments.

       Considered the issues on the agenda, and scientific-expert councils supported the draft law develop by the State Archival Service of Ukraine and recommended to the State Archival Service of Ukraine to develop the statements and sent opinions, comments, suggestions.
